Who We Are
The Eglin Aero Club was established in 1958. We are a Flight Training Center located on Eglin AFB in Northwest Florida. We are about flying & renting aircraft for recreational use. We are an FAA Pilot school and are Part 141 certified which means we are approved by Veterans Affairs to do VA training. The Aircraft are maintained to FAA and DoD standards. (Yes we are inspected by both for compliance.) We host monthly flight safety meetings to make flying more safe for our members. Membership is currently open to Active and Retired Military Personnel, Dependents, Active Reserves, National Guard, Base Contractors, Civil Air Patrol members . We are uniquely qualified to meet the needs of the military pilot transitioning to civilian flying and the "rusty" aviator returning to flight.
